Creative agency JUNO together with Marie Dommerget explores the possibilities of the new paper shade through surreally beautiful 3D art
A long-time partner of Arctic Paper, Hamburg-based branding and design agency JUNO worked in collaboration with Marie Dommenget, a Berlin-based art director and illustrator, specializing in 3D art. Dommenget creates sensitive imagery that merges imperfection and polishness, blurring the line between the virtual and the real. The virtual environments Dommenget produces feature tantalizing surfaces and materials, abstract shapes and dazzling lights.
JUNO and Dommenget were invited by Arctic Paper to explore the world of the new Arctic Volume Ice paper shade, and its promise of exceptional quality to show off work to its maximum potential. Inspired by ice, white ceramics, and shiny, luminous details, Dommenget’s 3D artwork explores the rugged, icy-cold Nordic landscapes and surfaces. The (sur-)realistic visuals effortlessly come to life on paper, with a feel of authenticity and awe.
As a 3D Designer, it is a constant challenge to create imagery that provides a sense of sensitivity and feeling despite its purely digital form. Arctic Volume Ice is the ideal blank canvas to fulfill this demand and to further add a deeper level to my work with its physical haptics, the pure white and perfect colors. My work for Arctic Volume Ice is inspired by both the characteristics of the paper shade as well as its nordic origin and arctic nature, emphasizing the climate-conscious aspect of the paper.” — Marie Dommenget
