Barcelona based half Lebanese half Venezuelan paper artist, art director and set designer Raya Sader Bujana has gained tens of thousands of fans and followers across the globe with her adorable tiny paper house plants. Under the name of Raya Studio, Raya Sader Bujana creates both commercial and editorial work for clients, ranging from branding to stop-motion animation, and unique art pieces to miniature set designs, additionally to her personal projects like the Tiny Big Paper Hose Plants series.
Sader Bujana has learned to master the craft of paper art, understanding the modest yet versatile medium of paper to its fullest potential. “As an artist using paper as a primary medium, I’ve come to define my work as something between illustration and sculpture, with a strong focus on details and care at the heart of it all”, Raya explains.

Tiny paper stems, life-like leaves, and amazing pots and woven baskets can take weeks to finish
House plants have been making a huge comeback in popularity among the millennial generation in the past few years, which could also play a factor in Sader Bujana’s Tiny Big Paper House Plants series growing fame. But there is no denying the cuteness of the minuscule paper plants. Their tine stems, life-like leaves, and amazing pots and woven baskets are so adorable, it’s hard to pinpoint their appeal, except they seem to hold the same magic quality over us as puppies do.
