Tomasz Woźniakowski is a young designer living and studying in Lodz, Poland, gaining attention with his humorously surreal and high quality still life illustrations. Still a student, and only having started learning digital art a few years ago, Woźniakowski has developed a distinct style and skillset at a lightning speed. The designer seems to possess a natural talent and a keen eye for composition, color, and texture.
Working on both commercial and editorial, as well as personal projects, Woźniakowski’s work has a flair of vintage which comes from the muted, harmonious color schemes and various textures. Yet his play with realistic shadow and an interesting combination of real and imaginative objects is what draws the viewer in. “I love using the simplest geometric shapes and contrasting them with real-life objects and lighting in order to create busy yet harmonic compositions. Nonetheless, I also enjoy getting out of my comfort zone and facing new challenges”, Woźniakowski says.
