The Hungarian Scientific Society For Building celebrates its 70th milestone with a beautifully designed Yearbook that summarises its history and achievements over the years
ÉTE – The Hungarian Scientific Society For Building celebrated its 70th anniversary recently, and in celebration of the festive occasion commissioned Typogravity to design a Yearbook, as well as a limited series of silkscreen printed posters. Unfortunately, most of The Hungarian Scientific Society For Building’s archives were accidentally lost, which made the Yearbook and its full summary of ÉTE’s activity over its history even more important for its members.
The main goal was to create a special, high-end design since this was a big milestone in the life of the Society. The Book represents their history, but it was also quite important to get younger generations involved, so we aimed for a fresh look and feel with crisp Pantone colors and a unique binding
“The main goal was to create a special, high-end design since this was a big milestone in the life of the Society. The Book represents their history, but it was also quite important to get younger generations involved, so we aimed for a fresh look and feel with crisp Pantone colors and a unique binding”, Bogányi writes. The ÉTE70 Yearbook project turned out quite rewarding as the society members were very happy with the results, and the limited series posters were a success among members and fans alike. The Yearbook was originally presented along with the jubilee year exhibition at the Center for Contemporary Architecture in Budapest.
