Illustrator Monika Jurczyk goes by the moniker Monsie, under which she illustrates a world of her own through bold colors, playful lines, and strong shapes. As a nomadic creative, Monsie’s adventures have taken her everywhere from Spain to Japan and Vietnam, from the US, to France, and now to the windy Edinburgh, where she splits her time working on more personal work, and commissions for clients such as Adobe, The Guardian, and Vans, to name a few.

With her bold and colorful style, Monsie captures the viewer, pulling you into her world that feels abstract and familiar, yet adventurous and whimsical. Monsie’s work takes you on a trip or at least makes you dream of one. And surprisingly it was the creative’s own adventures that made her pick up drawing again, as she made the switch from photography to illustration when she started keeping a visual travel diary while traveling in Asia.
