The holiday season is synonymous with creativity – as well as a certain Budapest-based creative agency’s bespoke paper installation full of festive cheer – and this year, Edinas Paper has outdone themselves with not one but two extraordinary window displays. This week, we’ll focus on this stunning white, gold, and green holiday cityscape display for UNGER, an exclusive multi-brand store located in the heart of Hamburg’s Neuer Wall (see Edinas Paper’s previously featured work here). Known for their artistic paper designs, Edinas Paper has once again created a masterpiece that captivates with its craftsmanship, meticulous design, and thematic brilliance.
Drawing inspiration from seasonal motifs, the display showcases stunning details crafted entirely from beautiful design papers. The concept transforms the window into a vibrant holiday cityscape, bringing iconic Hamburg landmarks to life.
At the heart of the UNGAR installation lies a celebration of winter’s magic, brought to life through intricate paper artistry. The work for UNGER Hamburg highlights Edinas Paper’s exceptional craftsmanship, as every element of the window display was hand-sculpted and precisely assembled. From delicate folds to meticulously cut patterns, the attention to detail is truly mesmerizing. Their innovative use of high-quality design papers — selected for their texture, strength, and ability to hold intricate shapes — plays a pivotal role in the success of the installation. By experimenting with layering, light, and movement, the design team created a multidimensional experience that elevates the space and captivates passersby. A multitude of different design papers were used in the project, among which was Munken Pure, Glam Gold, Mirror Gold, and PERGRAPHICA® Colours Magnificent Green from Europapier, chosen to combine elegant tones with the brand’s signature green accent.
By experimenting with layering, light, and movement, the design team created a multidimensional experience that elevates the space and captivates passersby. A multitude of different design papers were used in the project, among which was Munken Pure, Glam Gold, Mirror Gold, and PERGRAPHICA® Colours Magnificent Green from Europapier.
Upon closer inspection, visitors discover delightful hidden elements, such as UNGER logos subtly integrated into rooftop designs and building decorations, creating moments of playful discovery. Adding to the charm, a moving Ferris wheel adorned with miniature gift bags as carriages brings an enchanting sense of motion, drawing passersby into the festive scene and encouraging them to explore the intricate details that make this window display a standout feature of the season.
