In a world increasingly dominated by digital tools, the charm and tactile beauty of a paper calendar remain unparalleled. Enter the Munken Agenda 2025, an inspiring blend of functionality, design, and creativity that reinvents the traditional calendar into something personal and customizable. Crafted by Arctic Paper in collaboration with two young talents from Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design in Halle, Germany, this agenda is more than just a planner — it’s a playful reimagination of time itself.
Arctic Paper has long been committed to fostering innovation and creativity. For nearly 20 years, their Munken Agenda project has provided young designers and art students across Europe with a unique opportunity to collaborate on a real-world creative project (see previous articles here). These collaborations are a testament to Arctic Paper’s dedication to supporting the next generation of designers while showcasing the versatility and beauty of their high-quality papers.
Collaborating with young creatives from around the world gives us an incredible opportunity to be inspired by the upcoming generation’s curiosity and fresh perspectives.
“Collaborating with young creatives from around the world gives us an incredible opportunity to be inspired by the upcoming generation’s curiosity and fresh perspectives”, says Erik Bakkelund from Arctic Paper. “In return, we provide students with knowledge about the characteristics and functions of different types of paper, as well as their advantages in communication and design.”
The 2025 Agenda provides a nostalgic design with a modern twist
The Munken Agenda 2025, titled Calendar as You Like It, is a playful homage to the vibrant aesthetic of the 1990s. Designed by students Moritz Osterwold and Gregor Simon, the agenda invites users to rethink traditional timekeeping. The result is a product that combines the best of both worlds: the flexibility of a digital calendar and the creative possibilities of paper.
“Even though most people today rely on digital calendars, many still appreciate a physical paper calendar, not least the tactile experience of a sketchbook made of fine paper,” says designers Osterwold and Simon. Their innovative approach ensures that the agenda is adaptable to individual needs. Whether your day requires ten pages of notes or your entire week fits on a single sheet, this calendar gives you the freedom to decide.

The Munken Agenda 2025 isn’t just a visual treat — it’s a celebration of paper craftsmanship. Arctic Paper’s signature Munken range is known for its premium quality, and this agenda showcases its versatility. The A5-sized agenda comes with a sturdy cover made from Munken Kristall paper at 400 g/m². Inside, the content pages are crafted from a carefully selected mix of Munken Lynx, Munken Polar, Munken Kristall Rough, and Munken Pure Rough, all with a weight of 120 g/m². For added functionality and durability, the cards are made from Munken Kristall at 300 g/m², while the envelope is produced using Munken Polar at an impressive 600 g/m².
For graphic designers, creative professionals, and anyone who cherishes the art of paper, the Munken Agenda 2025 is more than a planner — it’s a daily companion that sparks creativity and inspires a mindful approach to time management. As Osterwold and Simon say; “A blank page creates a sense of freedom.”
Whether you’re sketching, planning, or simply reflecting, this agenda adapts to your lifestyle, making it a must-have for anyone who values the tactile and visual pleasure of fine paper. The Munken Agenda 2025 is now available for purchase here.
