Reduce – Reuse – Recycle was Ivan Dilberovic‘s motto when the Croatian Phonographic Association invited him to design new business cards for them. He thought of an idea to use the old vinyls that were never sold but the association had left stored at their warehouse, by laser cutting 10 cards out of a single vinyl – creating unique pieces with fully functioning, phonographic capabilities. The simple yet impressive idea cleverly represents the Phonographic Association by honouring their beloved medium of phonography – sound writing.
Ivan Dilberovic work often includes clever, out-of-the-box thinking (previous work), which is the case here again. Each vinyl was laser cut into the shape of a business card, with the personal information printed with screen printing technique. There are no two that look the same, and making the design even more precious is the unique sound signature each card holds and which can be played!
