Graphic designer and experimental type designer Marcell Puskás creates beautiful and fascinating work, in which he combines his love for unique concepts and exquisite typography. Similarly, as in his previous the Happiness Diary (here), Puskás latest design is visually stunning with no details left unfinished. Inspired by the popular holiday song, “Twelve Days of Christmas” calendar features “mistletoe typeface” and a pattern in similar style.
The old English Christmas song dating back to 1780, depicts twelve cumulative verses, each describing a gift given by “my true love” on one of the twelve days of Christmas. There are many variations of the lyrics, with the most popular being Frederic Austin’s;
On the First day of Christmas, my true love sent to me
a Partridge in a Pear Tree.
On the Second day of Christmas, my true love sent to me
Two Turtle Doves
and a Partridge in a Pear Tree.
On the Third day of Christmas, my true love sent to me
Three French Hens,
Two Turtle Doves
and a Partridge in a Pear Tree.
