Eli Kleppe is a Norwegian graphic designer who is known for interesting and ambitious design solutions, especially in the art of typography. She often combines new technologies and traditional techniques to create something very unique and visually engaging. In one of her latest projects, Haiku, she investigated different methods and technologies of printing and materiality of substrates. The aim was to eliminate all ink and create legible typography with a sort of reductive process.
She combined different laser cut technologies with letterpress and embossing, tried printing white on white and also experimented with levels of pressure on the paper. See more of Eli Kleppe’s incredible work below.
