Rhinos are everywhere! After yesterday’s post about Starkraft’s new Flying Rhino logo we discovered this beautiful paper rhinoceros. Rebeka Molnar, a Hungarian graphic designer and illustrator from Sopron, made her own interpretation of Albrecht Dürer’s celebrated Rhinoceros. The original woodcut by the German artist from 1515 is famous by it’s story: Dürer created it based only on a written description of the rhinoceros and a brief sketch, the artist himself had never seen a rhinoceros in his life!
Molnar’s version of the classic is an invigorating sight that breathes new air into the art piece. She only used paper and glue to create her “Rhinoceros paraphrase”. We love the many details and color combinations! Why not try and make our own little paper rhino?
