The guys of FOREAL – Benjamin Simon and Dirk Schuster, sure know how to have fun! As a personal project without a client or a reason, they set out to learn and test the limits of the new Cinema 4D design program. One single rule: Choose a letter and sculpt it! B-R-I-L-L-I-A-N-T !
And what they came up with is something so creative it got me laughing out loud, cringing and mesmerized, all at once! The German design duo who is known for creative, unique and extremely high-quality work, who has designed for giants like NIKE and Mercedes-Benz, surely enjoyed themselves with the Sculpted Alphabet.
Their goal was to create the whole alphabet and achieve completely new ways to see and build typography. A playful execution of a self-initiated project that would help gain significant experience in digital sculpting, while having a lot of fun! Among the 26 letters, you can find one made out of chocolate (not really but it seems so real!), slimy blue egg whites pouring out of cracked egg shells, croissant W and even the moon with a little astronaut on it and many many more. They are impeccably done, with an extremely realistic look and original ideas. I simply love them. Well, except for the letter K, I can’t even look at it without gagging. See for yourself!
