Vienna-based stationery brand in love with paper thrives on ideas, creativity, and possibilities. As the name claims, the brand always highlights the papers they use in their designs. In love with paper offers sustainable stationery and customized branded notebooks for customers and companies who share the same values of sustainability and creativity. The owner and founder of the brand, Miriam Mlczoch, says “There is a lot of personality in all of our products and attention to detail as well as information on the papers in use. And there’s nothing more beautiful than to see people thrive in their own strength. This is why we create sustainable notebooks that give you time and space for your own ideas”.
Not taking sustainability and eco-matters in vain, in love with paper only uses eco-friendly paper and manufactures their products in the EU. And actually, for every product bought, the brand plants a tree and actually donates 5% of their overall profit to environmental and social projects. “This story is about your power to change the world for the better. We all possess unlimited creative potential. Sometimes, you just have to find a way to tap into it. Realizing your potential often starts with pen and paper. Take your time. Curious and open-minded,” Miriam says.
Among the many beautiful paper products in love with paper offers, their Birthday Calendar *Felis* which only uses recycled or upcycled design papers is definitely one of our favorites
The Felis Birthday Calendar came to be when Miriam found herself needing a new birthday calendar for her own kitchen, and not finding anything that suited her needs, so she decided to design one herself – with sustainable papers of course. As in their own design process, as well as in the paper products they create, the brand feels it’s very important to leave enough space for individual creative use. “We chose a format for the calendar that would bring out the most of both the paper and the design so that one has enough space to individually create the birthday reminders. You can glue photos on the calendar or you can draw portraits of your loved ones while giving the paper the necessary space to shine”.

In the calendar, a specific paper is chosen to represent each month and season, forming a beautifully changing color sequence throughout the year. The very minimalistic design of the calendar lets the paper stand out and play the main role. And to inspire others to use design papers in their creative endeavors, each calendar page includes specific information on the name, grammage, and up/recycling story of the paper in question, (eg. made with coffee residues, kiwi hair, or cotton by-products).
Several design papers by Europapier can be found in the Felis Birthday Calendar, including Favini’s Remake and Crush collection, as well as the loved Coffee paper. Including Favini Remake Oyster (25 % leather residues) on the cover, and Favini Refit Cotton White (15% cotton by-products) for January, Favini Remake Smoke (25 % leather residues) for February, Favini Crush Grape (15% grape marc) for March, Favini Crush Olive (15% olive manufacturing residues) for April, Favini Crush Kiwi (15% Kiwi hair) for May, Favini Crush Almond (15% almond manufacturing residues) for October, and Europapier Coffee Paper (5% coffee residues) for December. You can see all the pages and papers below.
“We cannot watch the war in Ukraine without doing something, so are currently donating 15 € to the Ukrainian Red Cross for every calendar bought”, Miriam Mlczoch concludes. You can buy your own copy here.
