Celebrating Creativity And Resilience: The Posterheroes Calendar 2025

The Posterheroes Calendar 2025 is here, and it’s a true celebration of creativity, resilience, and the power of design to inspire change. Featuring 12 of the 40 winning works from the “Making Mistakes” competition, this calendar is a testament to the transformative potential of learning from failure — and an elegant showcase of some of the finest talents in the world of graphic design.

Last year’s Posterheroes competition challenged participants from all walks of life — students, professional designers, and graphic design enthusiasts alike — to create 70×100 cm posters exploring the theme of “Making Mistakes.” The open call invited creators to reflect on the value of errors as catalysts for growth, creativity, and societal change. The response was overwhelming, with 4925 posters of innovative designs submitted from 117 countries around the globe.

This calendar is a testament to the transformative potential of learning from failure — and an elegant showcase of some of the finest talents in the world of graphic design.

And now, 12 of the 40 winning illustrations from the 2024 competition have been immortalized in the Posterheroes Calendar for 2025, offering a daily reminder of the beauty and lessons that can emerge from imperfection. Utilizing printing techniques from litho to silkscreen and hot foil, the singer-sewn calendar folder made entirely of Favini papers in various weights, types, finishes, and colors, features a unique coil binding, truly highlighting the meaning and thought behind each illustration.

Each month of the year showcases a winning poster, each of which encapsulates the competition’s core message: mistakes are not failures but opportunities to learn and innovate. Accompanying these visually stunning designs is an empowering quote by Michael Jordan, a legend whose career is a testament to perseverance:

I’ve missed more than 9000 shots in my career, I’ve lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I’ve been trusted to take the game-winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.” – Michael Jordan

This quote perfectly encapsulates the calendar’s ethos, inspiring viewers to embrace their own missteps and turn them into stepping stones toward success.
