“Eat good and good things will happen to you” is the motto Simone and Adi Raihmann thought off when creating their new cookbook Karma Foods. A book comprised of 70 vegan and vegetarian dishes inspired by the Ayurvedic knowledge of Adi’s Indian mother helps you collect those much-wanted karma points. Recipes based on the colorful, aromatic and diverse cuisine of India, have their own contemporary twist added and are easy to make by any kitchen novice.
Ayurvedic spices the author grew up with in India, are utilized in the recipes and form the heart of their feel-good kitchen
For the restaurateurs turned cookbook authors, Simone and Adi Raihmann, enjoyment, well-being, and health go hand in hand. The Ayurvedic spice mixtures Adi grew up with in India, are utilized in the recipes of the book and form the heart of their feel-good kitchen.
Karma Foods is much more than a cookbook, but a philosophy on life. “In a time where we don’t have time for the things in life that are good for us, or even have any time for ourselves, the idea of Karma Foods is to give time back to the people, by giving them good, fast, tasty food.” Adi Raihmann explains.

How uncoated PERGRAPHICA® paper became the unexpected right choice for a cookbook
Designed by nonother than the multiple award-winner Viennese design bureau Atelier Karasinski in collaboration with Luisa Franz Kleopatra, and featuring illustrations by Lenka Rechenbach, Karma Foods is a blast of vibrant color and spice – just like the recipes within. To replicate such bright colors in print, it was very important to find the right papers to use for the book.
Stefanie Neuhart from Brandstätter Verlag, explains how PERGRAPHICA® Classic Smooth – exclusively available at Europapier – was the right choice for the book, and how important it is to consider the presentation. From great haptics to the guarantee of sustainability, on which PERGRAPHICA® delivers.
“It’s a book with extremely vibrant colors when you look at it. So it was really important to choose the right papers. And PERGRAPHICA® made it possible because it showcases these colors so well. Some papers often have some sort of haze on them. But for this project, PERGRAPHICA® was the perfect choice of paper.”, Stefanie Neuhart from Brandstätter Verlag explains.
The choice to use PERGRAPHICA® Classic Smooth also debunks the misconception that you can’t use uncoated papers for challenging subjects if you just choose a high-class paper. The offset printed hardcover book perfectly showcases the capabilities of the paper, with its natural look and feel that nicely conveys the mood and vibe of the book. Watch the video below in which the authors, publisher and paper producer discuss the Karma Foods book and its making.
Additionally to the cookbook, a Good Karma book printed on PERGRAPHICA® Classic Rough helps you collect even more Karma points by playful challenges. Start collecting karma points now and purchase your own copy of the Karma Foods cookbook from Brandstätter Verlag.
