FABRIK, an interdisciplinary printing house in Bucharest, Romania, brings together today’s technology with traditional printing and finishing techniques. Having crafted beautiful paper goods for over 100 clients, including giants such as Peroni, Nivea, Nescafe, Absolut Vodka, Adobe, Siemens, and Nestle, as well as some cultural institutions including Tokyo’s Konnyakuza Opera Theatre and Romania’s national stand at the 53rd Venice Art Biennale, only to name a few, FABRIK has around a 1000 projects “zipping out of our printing house doors every year.”

The limited edition “RFLX” Notebook Set is a set of four notebooks, each with a unique cover, describing a network of lines that rotate 3 degrees from one copy to another and a selection of letters that revolve in isometric space. As the North acts on the needle of a compass, the facets of the letters influence the angle of the lines.

With 480 unique covers made, (4 letters x 4 colors x 30 frames), the “RFLX” set comes with 4 notebooks with different covers; Green, Black, Grey, and Yellow Neobond 200 g/m2. The inner pages are made of Freelife Cento Extra White 80 g/m2. The notebook set was designed by Radu Manelici and Pren (Sebastian Anastasiei), with coding done by Ioan Olteanu, and printing production by Nicoleta Radu and Gabriel Barbu.
The larger Neobond Set is a set of two notebooks, one made with a Neobond Black 200g/m2 cover and IQ Color Cream 90g/m2 pages, and the other with a Neobond Grey 200g/m2 cover with Freelife Cento Extra White 80g/m2 pages. Both covers are printed with three geometrical symbols debossed with black foil.
