The aim of Fundamenta Amadeus foundation is the support of the University of Fine Arts Budapest with a creator’s scholarship. An exhibition is held every year on the university campus where the winners of the scholarship are exposed and showcased. Students of the school – Lucas Breuer, Kira Koroknaim and Judit Kecskés created a branding concept for the event last year that is sure to peek anyones interest. Their design plays with an anticipation of a reveal and the relation between the artworks and the exhibition space itself. Bold colors and strong typography with clever composition creates an interesting dynamic.
The three students: Lucas Breuer (photography), Kira Koroknaim (graphic design) and Judit Kecskés (graphic design) were inspired by the location of the artworks: the studio’s productive environment. To gather the energy of the chaotic space, they used foil and followed two lines. One focussing only on the power of the productive environment of the studio, with the second catching the celebration of the birth of the artwork. The typography is not printed, but each letter being cut out of vinyl by a plotter and then placed on the foil by hand. Creating the anticipation of a reveal while connected to the space itself, the branding creates an interest in the object itself while not revealing it to the viewer.
