Glenmore, an award-winning custom print and packaging house in Vancouver, British Columbia, serves customers and brands of various industries in their digital printing, foil stamping, embossing, bindery, and other printing and packaging needs. Proud to stand at the forefront of printing and packaging techniques since 1981, the printing and packaging house came up with a fun way to promote the fact that they are Canada’s only custom tube manufacturer as well as highlight some of their luxury printing and packaging techniques with a direct mail piece for Valentine’s Day in 2020.
I’m a foil for you! Emboss me baby! Coated with love!
Needing something that would speak to their core audience of designers and design agencies and be visually engaging enough for people to take notice, Glenmore, together with Best Studio, came up with a stunning packaging concept that later earned them a Dieline award. “We created a gift set that was immediately eye-catching while highlighting several different print techniques offered by Glenmore. Each box contained three custom-designed candy containing tubes alongside cheeky Valentine’s Day cards and stickers that played up printing puns”, the studio writes.

The bright pink packaging reads on top “Those who print together, stay together” shocases the passion of the printing house while pulling on the heartstrings of anyone on the receiving end of this marvelous gift fitting for Valentine’s Day. The funky fonts and foiled flourishes printed on the containers follow the cheeky attitude with similar taglines, such as “Coated with love”, “Emboss me baby”, and “I’m a foil for you” – each of course printed in a fitting technique. The cards and stickers follow a suit, making the packaging a bursting box of love and cheekiness, everything we wish for Valentine’s Day anyway!
