Wonderful illustration by Polish artist and illustrator Michał Bednarski. As a personal project Bednarski turned the known Greek Gods into multi colored digital illustrations in his signature vivid style. His really cool idea and execution truly proves my observation: Polish illustrators are kicking ass!
These modern interpretations are comically complex, multi layered works of color and texture, highlighting the attributes of each ancient god. Demeter, the goddess of the harvest shows the cycle of the crop, Nike personifies victory, Hermes moves freely between the worlds of mortal and divine, Artemis with her bow & arrow representing the huntress in her, Poseidon as the God of the Sea and Nyx as the Goddess of the night.
