When it comes to Valentine’s Day, red and pink are the quintessential colors of love and romance.
With red symbolizing deep love and passion, and pink representing gentleness, happiness, and affection – choosing these hues for for my DIY heart bookmarks was an obvious choice. And to ensure high-quality and aesthetically pleasing finish, I of course used a selection of some of my favorite red and pink design papers from the Europapier’s Design Paper Collection! Crush Cherry the perfect eco-friendly option with a unique texture. And Koehler Eco® Rose Quartz for a delicate and romantic pink hue. How to Make your own Heart-Shaped Corner Bookmarks:
Creating these bookmarks is simple and requires minimal materials. You can follow an easy-to-follow guide video from Easy Peasy and Fun here or the simple step-by-step instruction below, to craft your own heart-shaped corner bookmarks.
Cut the paper to a square shaped piece in your chosen Valentine’s Day color.
Create the base corner bookmark by folding the square into a triangle, then fold the sides to form a pocket.
Shape the heart by trimming the top of the triangle into a rounded heart shape.
You can secure the folds by using glue if needed to keep the shape intact, but this is not a necessary step.
Decorate by adding a small embellishments or write a sweet message inside the bookmark.
