Intricately Crafted Golden Goose, Made Entirely From Sparkling Golden Paper Feathers

Makerie Studio is a duo of award-winning creative studios run by Julie Wilkinson and Joyanne Horscroft. Makerie designs and creates unique showpieces for photoshoots, window installations, and events, and has had the opportunity to collaborate with a long list of international clients and talented photographers. All their masterful pieces are built in London, Oslo, and New York and travel to destinations worldwide. Finding inspiration in forgotten worlds, rare prints, and the beauty of details, the studio loves creating bespoke sculptures using specialized techniques, precision, and passion, with the Golden Goose as a prime example of their skills and imagination.

The bespoke, large-scale sculpture within a black-painted room is an experience of its own. The spectator is greeted with an intricately crafted bird formed entirely from golden paper feathers in the center of the room, caged in a metal enclosure, left slightly ajar.

Captivated by the intricate details of Moroccan architecture and inspired by the whimsical elements found in fairy tales, Makerie Studio has meticulously crafted ‘The Golden Goose’ using purely sheets of golden paper

Inspired by fairy tales and Moroccan architecture, Makerie Studio created a room in which a shining, golden goose is caged, her eggs collected one by one and suspended inside arches carved into the walls. The goose is made entirely out of golden paper feathers, and each egg is completely unique, with a distinctive design decorating its surface.

The bespoke, large-scale sculpture within a black-painted room is an experience of its own. The spectator is greeted with an intricately crafted bird formed entirely from golden paper feathers in the center of the room, caged in a metal enclosure, left slightly ajar. The gilded straws at the golden goose’s feet add to the details, while a few sparkling golden feathers float freely around the frame, as you’ve walked straight into a scene. Sitting within small carved apertures in the walls, inspired by Moroccan decorations, is a collection of individually crafted eggs, each completely unique with a distinctive design decorating its surface.
