Saint Petersburg based illustrator Olga Zalite is a talented artist working in the world of web graphics. Her whimsical world of illustrated characters is full of fun details, humorous topics, and bright, vibrant colors. One constant theme across Zalite’s work is greed and hedonism, which she illustrates with her characters’ exaggerated proportions in imaginative scenes. With a background in IT, Zalite works mainly with digital vector illustrations, but her work has been shown and applied on various mediums.
Like many creatives, Olga Zalite draws inspiration from her own life, like the new things she learns and experiences, weird cravings, and sometimes other artists work. Thinking of her illustrations as one kind of therapy, a natural way of self-expression, Zalite’s work comes across a dream-like imaginary world – a peek into the mind of a creative. What drew me to her work was the skillful use of color, and humor, as there can never be too much of it the world!
