Pink Tiger’s Identity Design Is A Fusion of Retro Elegance and Psychedelic Charm

Estudio Albino, known for its ability to develop distinctive branding and compelling visual identity systems, has unveiled their latest branding and visual identity for Pink Tiger, an Asian-fusion restaurant in Washington, D.C. An identity that is not only visually captivating but also emotionally engaging. “We believe that ideas have no defined form or designated space,” says the studio, highlighting their approach to branding as a fluid and adaptable process. This philosophy is evident in their work for Pink Tiger, where they explore ways to tell stories through design that connects deeply with the audience.

The concept, which is a collaboration of design, space intervention, and copywriting, brings to life an immersive dining experience. Pink Tiger isn’t just a place to eat — it’s a journey into a world of vibrant flavors, captivating aromas, and an atmosphere that combines elegance with a playful twist.

Pink Tiger’s concept is rooted in the tale of a mythical creature, a protective tigress whose fur holds the memories and flavors of her adventures.

Estudio Albino embraced the narrative of the “mythical journey of the Pink Tiger”, crafting an identity that merges 70s chic sophistication with the expressive, psychedelic visuals of the hippie movement. “It is a journey that is lived through the experiences captured in the fur of the mythical creature that protects the place,” the studio explains, setting the tone for a restaurant that aims to enchant its visitors through sensory delights.

Estudio Albino’s design solution is a beautiful fusion of retro elements. The visual identity includes a custom logotype and auxiliary graphics that give depth to the branding, ensuring a distinct and memorable identity for Pink Tiger. These elements are marked by the playful yet refined spirit of 70s disco, paired with the exuberance of psychedelic art.

We developed a typography with a retro, sophisticated, and feminine look, complemented by a more exuberant monogram.

“We developed a typography with a retro, sophisticated, and feminine look, complemented by a more exuberant monogram,” explains the studio. The result is a logo that feels both chic and dynamic, a perfect representation of Pink Tiger’s unique character.

The visual identity also features illustrations of a pink tigress, designed with multiple techniques. These illustrations are combined with psychedelic textures and a bold color palette, with vibrant pink shades and gold finishes lending a touch of luxury. Estudio Albino’s approach ensures that every piece of collateral, from menus to signage, resonates with the restaurant’s energetic and lively spirit. The studio highlights how this blend of colors and textures achieves a “chic and fun mood,” creating a playful, inviting atmosphere while maintaining an air of sophistication.

Pink Tiger’s identity isn’t just about visuals, it’s an immersive experience. The integration of tactile elements like textures and finishes adds to the sensory appeal of the restaurant’s branding.

From the moment guests enter, they are enveloped in an ambiance that reflects the mythical tigress’s journey, where every detail is designed to “transport you to an enchanting atmosphere.” The choice of vibrant pinks and gold further enhances this effect, creating a space that feels both warm and opulent. The branding aligns perfectly with the restaurant’s mission to offer a cozy yet elegant environment for lovers of Asian cuisine, where every moment is “more than an experience — it’s a celebration of life.”

The strength of Pink Tiger’s identity lies in its ability to resonate on multiple levels — visually, emotionally, and experientially.
