Ukrainian illustrator Evgeniya Manko depicts the world of modern-day women in her illustrations, heavily influenced by fashion, which is not surprising considering her previous career as a fashion photographer. With a degree from the Kyiv National University of Technology and Design and the Academy of Photography in Warsaw, her true passion lies with drawing, especially with gouache. Transmission of tonality and color, its density and texture, she seems to have a special affection for pastels and matt colors.
Her work reminds me of flipping through the pages of a glossy fashion magazine, with beautiful editorials gracing each page from exotic locations showcasing the hottest apparel of the season. Always aiming to awake positive emotions, Mankos style feels light and approachable.
