Successful packaging design combines creativity and innovation to capture the consumer’s attention. Meteorito, a graphic design studio based in Valencia, has unveiled an exciting cherry tomato packaging concept for Nijasol, available at Carrefour, which is designed to appeal to both children and their parents, transforming the simple act of eating cherry tomatoes into an enjoyable experience.
Meteorito specializes in brand creation and packaging design. Their mission is to ensure brands have a clear direction and shine in the marketplace. Offering services like naming creation, brand consulting, and communication strategy, Meteorito provides personalized solutions for each project, involving clients throughout the creative process. Meteorito’s project for Nijasol aimed to make cherry tomatoes appealing to a younger audience. By turning a box of 8-10 cherry tomatoes into a fun experience, they hoped to attract both children and their parents with a fresh and healthy snack option.
“Monsters are cool and so are tomatoes”
Inspired by a cute monster that loves devouring tomatoes, the packaging design adds a playful twist. The monster’s mouth, with whimsical grimaces, serves as windows to showcase the cherry tomatoes, while its crest, shaped like a tomato’s stalk, functions as a unique closure. The slogan “Monsters are cool and so are tomatoes” invites children to enjoy the sweet flavor of cherry tomatoes in a fun way.
Our goal was to create a design that not only appeals to kids but also makes it easier for parents to introduce healthy snacks. The monster theme makes eating tomatoes fun and engaging.
