Veicus is an office for sustainable business development, that offers entrepreneurs, startups, and brands help in management, IT, marketing, and design – with a heavy focus on sustainability and positive impact. A company called ART³ founded by Markus Gutschi and Marko Wiedemann in 2023, shares similar world views – and asked the team at Veicus for support in founding the company and developing a corporate design and implementation.
As long-standing experts in the field of window and door solutions, ART³ places significant importance on detailed consultation, thoughtful planning, and seamless execution to guarantee optimal comfort and personalized interior design. Through the smart integration of windows and doors, ART³ crafts inviting living spaces that not only meet practical necessities but also realize design aspirations most effectively.
We, as humans, open countless doors and windows every day. Designing these moments consciously is the shared passion of the two founders. And this passion for details we wanted to express in the design.
“We all know the numerous functions doors and windows are serving. They provide security, protect against noise or cold, let air and light into our rooms, create boundaries, and are design tools in architecture. ART³ highlights these seemingly small details for a good reason: We, as humans, open countless doors and windows every day. Designing these moments consciously is the shared passion of the two founders. And this passion for details we wanted to express in the design”, writes Magdalena Sohm from Veicus Consulting & Design, about the starting point and concept for the design project.
From the idea to the completion of the project, emphasizing design, functionality, and ambiance was paramount.
During the development and founding process of ART³, great potential was identified in the brand’s position in the current market, which led to the creation of a strong corporate design that is used to effectively differentiate the company from the competition. Additionally to designing an easily adaptable design system, concrete design products were produced, including a stylish stationery set that draws inspiration from the same sustainable materials the company prefers to use in its products.
The stationery set utilizes Crush Coffee and Corn paper in 350 gsm, an environmentally friendly paper where 15% of the pulp is replaced by agro-industrial waste products of actual corn and coffee beans. These agro-industrial waste products would normally be processed as filters in animal food and fertilizers or simply dumped in landfills, so reintroducing them into the cycle extends their product life. Elements of each different material are visible on the surface of the papers giving a distinctive texture and appearance. The whole manufacturing process is done using hydroelectric energy, so if you are looking for a new ecological option for your paper projects – Crush is the perfect choice!
The Crush paper in this gsm conveys a certain understatement and convinces with quality and exclusivity. It conveys the quality and therefore the exclusivity of the paper in a subtle, honest, and authentic way. At the same time, the added fibre gives the paper a natural, human, warm character.
“As paper is the medium of communication, the choice of paper was of great importance. That is why the papers were selected very strategically. Initially, we limited the color palette to warm and brown tones. This allowed us to immediately create the connotation of wood. Wood plays a major role in the area of Vorarlberg, especially in building culture. The material stands for quality, durability, flexibility, and tradition. Therefore, wooden doors and solid wood windows are a sign of the highest quality and craftsmanship. Additionally, the window and door experts are very fond of wood as a raw material and have big faith in its functions”, Magdalena Sohm writes about their process to choose Crusg Coffee and Corn papers.
“The Crush paper in this gsm conveys a certain understatement and convinces with quality and exclusivity. It conveys the quality and therefore the exclusivity of the paper in a subtle, honest, and authentic way. At the same time, the added fibre gives the paper a natural, human, warm character. By choosing this type of paper we wanted to make the personality of the company perceptible.”
The Crush coffee paper was printed twice using digital printing. Firstly, a layer of 100% gold was applied. In the next step, a layer of 100% of white was applied. This process gave a rich color application that nestles elegantly on the paper surface.
